I just know I’ll die from touching something I shouldn’t…
Ok, I didn’t touch anything I shouldn’t, but I’ve gotten to see, feed, or snuggle a bunch of amazing Australian critters this week. I’ll get back to websites next post, but here are a few photos to round out my three weeks in this amazing corner of the world.
We spent a day at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane, where we fed lorikeets and kangaroos, and held a koala and a python. Such a fabulous day!
Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

Better than a zoo, with lots of opportunities for hands-on encounters with native Australian animals. We spent an excellent day here, filling our hearts.

Diving Straddie
I dove the Tangalooma wrecks and manta bommie dive site on Stradbroke Island; two locations that were new to me.
At these sites I had the amazing opportunity to dive with manta rays, leopard sharks, and lots of reef fish I’ve never seen before. Digging through my videos will give me loads of pleasure over the long winter months ahead.
Here’s a gorgeous leopard shark at manta bommie (a submerged off-shore reef), off of Stradbroke Island, east of Brisbane. Be still, my heart!
